The first pair to tee off in the much anticipated Glory First 16 competition is Shemsi Beqiri (69.6Kg) and Yoshiro Sato (69.8Kg) They greeted each other with friendly smiles and a humble approach at the scene clearly showing mutual respect, but It is safe to believe that it will be much less friendly in the ring.

The heavy and rapid handed German, Dennis Schneidmiller (69.4Kg) entered the stage alone since his competition, Tim Thomas, was not yet at place. When asked the question, what should one do to win the entire tournament? Dennis replied with a smile and said, – you should knock everybody out.

Both Kem Sitsongpeenong of Thailand (68.8Kg) and Davit Kiria (69.5Kg) from Georgia looked focused and exited about the task ahead of them. It is a match up of two completely different styles and techniques as Muay Thai goes head to head with Karate.

The American fighters, Ky Hollenback (69.9Kg) and Michael Corley (69.8Kg) stated that they are thrilled to be fighting at Glory World Series and they hope tomorows fight will gain more awarness of the sport to the US.

When Fabio Pinca (68Kg) and Giorgio Petrosyan (69.9Kg) entered the stage the whole hall turned completely silent. The Armenian-Italian nr one ranked middelweight Petrosyan has only lost one fight in his whole career and it was more then six years ago. Pinca however did not seem scared by this and said – I am happy to be here and fight for glory, the fight is no problem.
